You don't want a leak, but if you've got an old cylinder it's a possibility (and you just need to call us to get it fixed fast). However, that's not the only reason for changing your hot water cylinder. If you find the hot water runs out before the family have finished their ablutions, it may be time for a bigger hot water cylinder that meets the needs of your family.

You may want to swap a traditional cylinder for an unvented cylinder. That means that your hot water tank is fed directly from the mains instead of from a tank in your loft. If you're thinking of a new central heating system you might want to consider a combination boiler, which means there's no need for a hot water cylinder at all!
